Joy Stealers – The Life of Joseph

Conflict is part of every child’s daily life. When confronting conflict, one must learn to respond biblically. Joy Stealers presents seven lessons that focus on confronting conflicts that arise in the lives of children and teens. Individual lessons highlight Joseph’s biblical response to different challenges: family conflict, impossible circumstances, temptation, unfair treatment, disappointment, guilt, revenge, and forgiveness.

Each lesson includes

• Suggestions for preparation
• Text verses and additional applicable Scripture
• Pertinent teaching goals
• Weekly memory verse based on a character quality or the Kid Truth
• Memory challenge (Passage or chapter related to the series)
• Bible narrative (People, places, events)
• Recalling the facts by using a review game or reteaching activity
• Applying the principles from God’s Word to their situation
• Kid Truth used to convey a biblical concept relevant to the child’s life now
• Bible truth that adds to their biblically based system of belief
• Opportunity to personalize truth and respond to what God reveals
• Creating a scriptural basis for attitudes and decisions by discussing examples of biblical response
• Salvation Integration in each lesson
• Character challenge (Application of lesson truth / action or assignment)
