We focus on the accurate exegesis of Scripture thus avoiding manyinterpretive differences. However, all of our materials, where applicable, adhere to the following.

.We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verballyinspired by God, are inerrant in the original writings, are the onlyrevealed Word of God, and therefore are the final authority in faith andconduct. All Scripture quotations used in Alethia Press materials weretaken from The King James Version.

.We believe in one God, the Creator of man and all things, eternallyexisting in three Persons in a threefold relationship, that of Father, Son,and Holy Spirit, all having the same nature and attributes, all worthy ofthe same worship, confidence, and obedience.

.We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of theVirgin Mary, and is God incarnate, the sinless God-Man. We believe thatthe Lord Jesus Christ shed His blood on Calvary as a vicarioussubstitute, was buried, rose again bodily, and ascended to the Fatherand that all who believe on Him are freely justified before God and standbefore Him accepted in the character and merit of Jesus Christ. In Hispresent glorified body, He is the Head of the church, the Lord of theindividual believer, the High Priest over the house of God, and theAdvocate in the family of God.

.We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity, veryGod, coexistent with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is the chiefagent in regeneration, the chief convictor of sin, and the chief comforterof the believer.

.We believe the Triune God created the universe apart from preexistingmaterials. We believe that God created the universe in six literal,24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-AgeTheory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin. Webelieve in this historicity of the first eleven chapters of Genesis6.We believe that man is the direct creation of God—body, soul, andspirit—and is not in any sense the result of evolution, but is made in theimage of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physicaldeath but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. Adam’s sinis imputed to the whole race of mankind. All human beings are bornwith a sinful nature and are sinners before God in thought, word, anddeed. Thus, man is totally depraved, and, of himself, utterly unable toremedy his lost condition.

.We believe that all who, in faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ asSaviour are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become the childrenof God. Repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christare essential conditions for appropriating the saving grace of God.

Salvation of the soul comes by repenting of sin and accepting JesusChrist as Lord and Savior; the soul thus saved is eternally saved andcan never be lost.

.We believe in the literal, visible, personal, pre–millennial, pre–tribulationreturn of Jesus Christ for His Church. At this event, the dead in Christand living believers will be translated to meet Him in the air.

.We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, theeverlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment ofthe unsaved.
